When the Workplace is What's Breaking You

There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes not from working too hard, but from working somewhere that diminishes you.

It is the exhaustion of walking into a room and feeling invisible. Of being excluded from conversations you should be part of. Of second-guessing yourself constantly - not because you are incompetent, but because the environment around you has slowly, quietly convinced you that you are.

If you recognise that feeling, I want you to know something. That is not who you are. That is what prolonged exposure to a toxic environment does to a person.

And it is far more common than anyone talks about.

Many of the women I work with don't arrive describing workplace bullying. They arrive describing anxiety they can't explain. A loss of confidence that crept up on them. A body that feels permanently braced for something. They tell me they used to feel capable, ambitious, and clear. Now they feel stuck, foggy, and small.

When we start to unpick it together, the workplace is almost always part of the story.

Workplace trauma is real. It doesn't require a dramatic incident or a formal complaint to count. It can be the slow erosion of being talked over, left out, undermined, or managed by someone who makes you feel like the problem. Over time, that environment gets internalised. The nervous system learns to stay on high alert. The inner critic gets louder. And you start to wonder if perhaps it really is you... Believe me when I say, it isn't you!

But here's what I know from experience - both personal and professional - and from the work I do with women in similar situations - leaving the job or situation doesn't automatically fix it. The trauma resides in the body until it is actively released. The patterns of hyper-vigilance, self-doubt, and exhaustion don't disappear just because you change your desk or your job title.

Together, we look at what has happened - not to relive it, but to understand how it has shaped the way you see yourself and the world around you. We work with the nervous system, not against it. We gently untangle the beliefs that were never yours to carry. And we begin, slowly and at your own pace, to rebuild the foundation of who you actually are.

You are not too sensitive.. You are not difficult. You are not incapable. You are not past it.

You are someone whose system has been under pressure for way too long - and who deserves space to finally exhale.

If any of this resonates with you, a free discovery call is a good place to start. No pressure, no agenda. Just a conversation.
